Australian Stringybark

One of the most important Australian hardwoods, it is a dense timber with an even texture, straight grains sometimes interlocked, and well-defined rings.

The timber of the Stringy Bark is straw brown in colour, very durable and has good bending qualities. The Stringy Bark tree is the most valuable all purpose timber in Tasmania and also the most highly used.
